An Ausbildung is Germany's dual vocational training system, where you work while learning a recognized profession. Part of the week is spent working at a company, while the remaining days are dedicated to vocational school. The training usually lasts between 2 and 3.5 years. Trainees receive a monthly salary throughout the entire training period.
