1. What is an Ausbildung?
An Ausbildung is Germany's dual vocational training system, where you work while learning a recognized profession.
Part of the week is spent working at a company, while the remaining days are dedicated to vocational school.
The training usually lasts between 2 and 3.5 years.
Trainees receive a monthly salary throughout the entire training period.
2. Who Can Apply?
Citizens of the Republic of Türkiye are also eligible to apply for vocational training programs in Germany.
General Requirements

✅ At least 18 years of age
✅ German language proficiency
✅ Medically fit to work
✅ Clean criminal record (required for certain professions)
3. German Language Requirement
German language proficiency is one of the most important requirements.
For most vocational training programs:
B1 German (Minimum requirement)
B2 German (Highly recommended)
Since both the theoretical lessons at vocational school and the practical training at the company are conducted in German, sufficient language skills are essential.
4. Educational Requirements
A high school diploma is generally required.
Applicants who have graduated from the following types of schools in Türkiye are eligible to apply:
Anatolian High School
Vocational High School
Imam Hatip High School
Open High School
Some employers may also require official recognition or evaluation of your educational qualifications.
5. Training Salary (2026)
Unlike an internship, an Ausbildung is a paid vocational training program.
Depending on the profession and the federal state, trainees usually earn between €900 and €1,400 gross per month during the first year. The salary increases with each year of training.
